About Us
Standing Stones Ministries is
a faith-based, Christ-centered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
developed to provide a healthy environment in which individuals
struggling with drug and alcohol dependencies can successfully deal
with the negative issues that have so drastically impacted their
lives.
A regeneration ministry,
SSM incorporates Bible-based teaching, classroom instruction,
job/work ethics training, and family reconciliation support. We
desire to see previously broken men become transformed, renewed, and
ready to embrace new productive lifestyles.
Nestled in the foothills of
the Cascade mountains in Eastern Washington, SSM is situated on 40
serene acres far away from the temptations of the inner city.
We believe rural locations have a positive impact on
individuals involved in conflict and personal crisis.
A peaceful setting soothes the soul and nurtures inner
healing. SSM is just such a place, and offers the
added benefit of a vibrant and active orchard.
Producing crops such as apples, cherries, pears and peaches provides
the men in our program with a tangible model of ongoing regeneration
and renewal with each passing season.
The name of our program
comes from the two instances in the Bible where God instructed the
nation of Israel to erect memorial stones as a lasting testimony to
future generations that the Lord had done something incredible in
their midst. The men who successfully complete our intensive
10-month program become modern day “living” standing stones.
They personify the incredible work of the Lord and testify to
current and future generations that God is still in the miracle
business today.
